Although there has been a lot of press about the power of web 2.0, a new survey finds that most companies are not taking advantage of the marketing tool. According to a study from Emailvision, 97 percent of companies are not using blogging or Twitter to increase their online visibility. Yet this doesn't mean that companies are turning their back on online marketing altogether as the report finds that businesses are using more traditional online elements. The report found that almost half of businesses cited email and search engine optimization (SEO) as their most effective online marketing tools. Emailvision's findings seem to match those of UberCEO last month which discovered that few of the top CEOs in the country are taking advantage of web 2.0 tools like blogging and social networking. According to UberCEO, none of the CEOs of Fortune 100 companies had a blog while only two had a Twitter account. Social networking got a little more attention with 19 CEOs having a Facebook page and 13 with a LinkedIn profile. Found:
