Online direct marketing qualification gets backing from trade bodies

A new qualification related to online direct marketing has been given the backing of two major industry bodies.

Both the Internet Advertising Bureau and the British Interactive Media Association have endorsed the new MSc in Digital Marketing Communications, which is being offered by Econsultancy.

Accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University, the course was launched in 2007 and gives participants the chance to learn more about a range of issues related to the world of online direct marketing.

Jack Wallington, senior programmes manager at the IAB, said "an established learning route is essential to attract, retain and develop new talent".

He added: "As part of the IAB's overall efforts to make a real impact in this area, we're very happy to endorse this MSc which will help reduce the current digital skills shortage."

News of the endorsements has come after the Chartered Institute of Marketing launched a new virtual learning option to support those undertaking its own qualifications.ADNFCR-898-ID-19417470-ADNFCR
