Digital Marketing beefs up profit

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Online marketing group Digital Marketing plumped up full year pre-tax profit by 45%, following a string of acquisitions, although it warned of cost cuts ahead of anticipated tough trading.
 
Pre-tax profit rose to £3.1m for the year ended 31 March compared with a profit of £2.1m the previous year. Sales increased 11% during the year to £56.6m. The figures include The firm said the figures represent six months' trading of Cyber DMG Limited, Gasbox Limited and Prodant Limited, which it acquired in October.
 
During the first quarter of the current financial year, the group said sales had been hurt by contract cancellations and delays but the group does expect trading to improve in the second half.
