Marketing classes for crafters

ASHEVILLE — HandMade in America presents free monthly classes for craft artists and entrepreneurs 6:30 p.m. the third Monday of every month at 125 S. Lexington Ave., Suite 101.
Classes begin Aug. 17 and run through December, and will focus on online marketing, sales and arts business growth.

The first three classes are:
Aug. 17: “DIY Online Marketing” Cost effective ways to improve your art or brand with Tips to snag editors' and bloggers' attention
Sept. 21: “Selling Through Etsy.com” A great, cheap way to sell your work online with Tips and tricks to grab more exposure using Etsy
Oct. 19: “Wholesaling Sans Wholesale Shows” The wholesale market is changing. Learn to use free, internet-based tools to grow your wholesale base.
More classes will be announced soon.
Classes will last 60 to 90 minutes each and will be led by Elijah Wyman of local jewelry company, Figs and Ginger, and marketing professional, Kimberly Miller.
