Study considers customer engagement through online marketing

2009/10/05
Marketing advice body Econsultancy has started to collect responses for its new survey into customer engagement tactics.
The organisation´s fourth annual Online Customer Engagement Survey is to look at how leading businesses are using web-based direct marketing to improve their relationship with clients.

It is believed that the findings, which will be published in November, are set to build on last year´s revelation that just five per cent of companies have a strategy in place to engage customers through the mobile channel.

Last year´s survey also revealed that fewer than half of organisations surveyed had a defined customer engagement strategy in use.

Details about this year´s report have come after another study by Econsultancy revealed that the UK market for email marketing platforms and services will grow by an estimated 15 per cent over this year to a value of £292 million.

The market grew by a similar amount during 2008.
