LinkShare Intros New Pay-Per-Call Platform

By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributor

LinkShare, a provider of ecommerce businesses and online marketing services including search marketing, lead generation and affiliate marketing, has reportedly launched pay-per-call platform, a new technology that helps advertisers to expand their reach to a larger base of publishers online and offline and also offers higher ROI potential.

The pay-per-call platform is said to track completed calls that publishers pass on to advertisers' call centers. It allows publishers to promote unique phone numbers through on-or offline media, or also earn commissions when customers opt to call the phone number on an advertiser's site.

"LinkShare is committed to offering innovative technologies that support the overall goal of increasing revenue opportunities for our network's advertisers and publishers," said Russ Pechman, vice president of LinkShare Lead Advantage, in a statement

LinkShare Lead Advantage is a service that delivers targeted leads and new customers to advertisers through LinkShare’s global lead generation network, a fast growing segment of online marketing.

"Pay-per-call offers higher ROI potential because calls can increase conversion rates and give us new places - online and offline - where ads can show up," Pechman said.

LinkShare's pay-per-call platform is currently available in LinkShare Lead Advantage and will soon be available in the LinkShare Affiliate Network in addition to Lead Advantage.

This newly launched platform from LinkShare is stated to be a simple technology to set up and manage for both advertisers and publishers within its network, and works seamlessly with an advertiser's existing online initiatives. Other key benefits are that it can be easily included into advertisers' existing affiliate programs. Commissions earned by publishers are incremental to their existing commissionable transactions, filters and qualification paths allow advertisers to control call quality. Moreover, publishers and advertisers can leverage new marketing channels, the company said.

LinkShare clients include Fortune 500 and other prominent and emerging companies doing business online. The company is a division of Rakuten, Inc., a large comprehensive Internet service company offering services in e-commerce, portal and media, travel, financial services, and professional sports.
